31 December 2009
Gday Froggies,
One more night to go.........are your livers surviving this latest festive hammering? Of course Bob and Dennis are away........how did they manage to get the time off? If anyone is still left in Sydney, we have a few shore dives running over January, and you can see where and when below.
We have some sad news. Charlie Johnson, the man that has supplied us with dive weights for the last 2 decades, passed away while trying to assist his mate on a recent dive. We pass on our condolences to his family and friends, and may he rest in peace.
SHORE DIVES
So many of you cannot make our team dives each month, and have only the Saturdays to dive, so dear old Elliott has put together a few more options for you to get wet. Unlike the team days, where we ask for notice of attendance, and no one seems to worry too much [poor Luke], Elliott really does need at least 24 hours notice prior from you, so please call him on 0400322091 if you wish to dive.
2/1/10 – HARBORD 7.30AM
5/1/10 – SHELLY BEACH 7.30AM
9/1/10 – SHIPROCK [CRONULLA WAY] 11AM IN WATER
12/1/10 – SHIPROCK IN WATER
26/1/10 – BARE ISLAND 7.30PM
30/1/10 – KURNELL 7.30AM
TEAM DIVE BALMORAL JANUARY 11TH
Each year in January, we run a very simple dive day at Balmoral Beach. Predominantly it is a boat dive day with team day service. We have 3 trips organised leaving at 8, 10 and 12 noon. These trips fill fast, so do not delay with your booking. We will also have a basic shore dive around the nets, approx 6 meters deep, to see the sea horses with a brief at 10am. Please email luke@frogdive.com.au to let him know that you intend to come.
WEEKENDS AWAY
Our tour with Bob Holloway to Jervis Bay on the 6/7th February is filling fast with only 4 positions left. Accommodation, 4 boat dives, air and your second tank is supplied. The second trip to South West rocks has seen a date change to the 11th March, diving the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with Elliott. Call either store to express your interest.
Please be safe in your endeavours tonight, and we wish everyone the best for 2010.
