Spearfishing bags and speargun cases

Spearfishing bags and speargun cases

Bags and cases for the speargun, the fin-mask-snorkel set, the wetsuit and the catch. Salt-tolerant zips, drainage holes and mesh panels because spearfishing kit comes home wet, sandy and sometimes still moving. The Frog Dive range covers day-trip bags for shore and boat use, dedicated speargun travel cases for flights and long-haul trips, and the simple mesh gear bags that keep wet kit aired out between dives.

Which spearfishing bag suits your kit

Bag choice mostly comes down to where the kit lives and how it travels.

Boat-day bags need to fit the available bench space and stay closed when the boat tilts. A duffel-style bag with a fin compartment at one end and a wet/dry separator works for most boat divers. Mesh side panels let the kit air out on the trip home.

Shore-entry bags are different. You are carrying the kit in on foot, often over rocks, so weight and balance matter more than capacity. A backpack-style bag with padded straps and a separate fin pouch saves the back on the walk in. A mesh-bottom version drains seawater on the walk out.

Travel cases are a category of their own. A speargun is fragile in transit and most airlines will not accept it as a carry-on. A padded, hard-shell speargun travel case with internal foam and external compression straps will get the gun to the destination intact. Length matters: measure the gun including the rigging before ordering the case.

For the rest of the spearfishing kit, see the spearfishing gear package collection and the spearguns collection. Call (02) 9958 5699 for help sizing a travel case to your specific gun.
