Gizo sits at the western end of the Solomon
Islands, with the Toa Maru as its signature wreck
dive, a 140-metre Japanese freighter resting on
her side with much of her cargo still in the holds.
Beyond the wrecks, the reef diving is excellent:
healthy coral, good current, pelagic action and a
handful of shallow WWII aircraft wrecks that
make for easy, memorable third dives.
